Interpreting Public Satisfaction
Since Jokowi-Amin started ruling this country in October 2019, this is the second time the results of a Kompas R&D survey show a level of public satisfaction above 70 percent.
At the start of his administration, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo-Vice President Ma'ruf Amin had a "capital" of public satisfaction of 58.8 percent (October 2019) based on the results of a Kompas R&D survey. In a survey conducted regularly, about once every three months, the level of public satisfaction in the government tends to increase, above 60 percent, depending on the policies and steps of the Jokowi-Amin administration.
Up and down: that is the level of people’s satisfaction with the government. And, in a survey conducted in January 2022, the level of public satisfaction with government performance exceeded 70 percent. Around 73.9 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with the government's performance. After that, public satisfaction never again exceeded the 70 percent mark. Only in the survey published in this daily, on Monday (22/5/2023), the level of public satisfaction with government performance again exceeded 70 percent, at 70.1 percent to be exact (Kompas, 22/5/2023).
