Iranian Embassy Insists on Gilchalan’s Deportation

Gilchalan admitted that embassy representatives had met him several times during the trial, but they had not visited him since because of Covid-19.

Ghassem Saberi Gilchalan (49) duly greeted us on Friday evening (26/11/2021), when we met for the first time in a room at the Class IIA Youth Prison in Tangerang, Banten.

He made a brief, small nod before taking his seat on the sofa. He wore a gray shirt that revealed his good posture and navy blue training pants. On his feet were a pair of flip-flops.
