2019 State Budget: Healthy, Fair, Self-Reliant

The State Budget (APBN), as a state instrument, has an important role to play in reaching the goal. The draft 2019 State Budget (RAPBN 2019), which President Joko Widodo unveiled on Aug. 16 during the plenary session of the House of Representatives (DPR), supports investment and competitiveness with a focus on human resource development.

The RAPBN 2019 was carefully and cautiously drafted by taking into account the global economic condition, which is fluctuating towards a new balance. The assumptions used to determine the RAPBN 2019 include the projected 5.3 percent economic growth, 3.5 percent inflation rate, Rp 14,400 per US dollar rupiah exchange rate, 5.3 percent interest for three-month treasury bills (SPN), US$70 per barrel for Indonesian crude oil, 750,000 barrels per day (bpd) oil production and 1,250,000 bpd gas production.
