Farmers welfare is continuing to worsen, even though they play a key role in mitigating the threat of a food crisis as a consequence of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Kemiren village formerly only served as a route for tourists to cross over to Mount Ijen. Village funds have turned Kemiren into a tourist destination at the foot of Ijen.

There are some improvements that must be done in order to close gaps for misappropriation, including in the submission of area codes and distribution of village fund.

Using village funds and a company’s CSR fund, Pangkahwetan village has been successful in driving the local economy.
