With only 50 percent of travelers having returned to Java to date, traffic authorities remain vigilant over the traffic surge to untangle any congestion.

Based on the information released by toll road operator Jasa Marga, more than half the estimated 1.6 million vehicles had yet to return to Greater Jakarta as of Thursday at 8 a.m.

The government expected return traffic to peak between Monday evening (24/4/2023) and Wednesday morning (26/4/2023).
