A panorama of Jakarta after heavy rains flushed the capital city on Monday (11/02/2019). The basic projection of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency shows that rainfall has the potential to increase again after briefly falling. The year 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 are the hottest four years ever recorded in the modern era. The average temperature in 2018 was 1 degree Celsius hotter than in the 1900-1901 period. This warming has changed the pattern of rain (both drought and extreme rain) globally. In Indonesia, this also increases disasters due to changing rainfall intensity.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS β€” The increasing temperature of the earth has affected the environment, leading to extreme weather. The quantity of rainfall has increased in a number of regions.

The temperature of the earth continues to rise and reached the highest point ever recorded. The increase in global temperatures has triggered various environmental changes, one of which is the increasing scale and intensity of extreme weather.
