CIANJUR, KOMPAS – Survivors of the earthquake in Cianjur regency, West Java, are demanding clarification over the mechanisms, hygiene and access to work in relation to the relocation plan, especially since the designated site is close to a landfill (TPA). The Cianjur regency administration must seek solutions to the issues related to the relocation site.
The relocation site for the Cianjur earthquake survivors is located in Sirnagalih village, Cilaku district, around 5.2 kilometers from the Cianjur Regent’s Office. It is only around 200 meters from the TPA Pasir Sembung. On Sunday afternoon (4/12/2022), piles of trash could be seen and an unpleasant odor could be smelled from the relocation site.
