E-commerce has attracted attention because of its exponential increase over the last five years. Based on data from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank group, published on May 28, the value of Southeast Asian e-commerce transactions tripled in the 2015-2020 period with a value of US$105 billion, or more than Rp 1,491 trillion. It is estimated that by 2025 it will be $309 billion. Bank Indonesia (BI) has noted that the value of Indonesian e-commerce last year was Rp 253 trillion and that this year it is estimated to increase by 33.2 percent to Rp 330.7 trillion.
