In the face of tsunami threats, the response of residents living in coastal areas has been getting better. The regional governments are also quick in evacuating the residents.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS — The 6.9-magnitude earthquake that occurred 164 kilometers southwest of Pandeglang, Banten, raised a tsunami warning on Friday (8/2/2019) at 7:03 p.m. Residents who learned from the tsunami experience on 22 December 2018 immediately rushed away from the coast to higher ground.
