Promote spirit, attitude of tolerance

People attend the 73rd anniversary celebration of the Muslimat (Muslim women) of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium in Jakarta on Sunday (27/01/2019). The event, which was attended by President Joko Widodo, was marked with tahajud prayers, hajad prayers, morning prayers in congregation, prayers for the nation and a declaration by the NU’s female members to act together against online hoaxes.

The commemoration of the 73rd anniversary of the Muslimat (Muslim women) of Nahdlatul Ulama was used as an opportunity to promote a spirit of tolerance and moderate Islam. Tolerance and respect for differences can be built through dialogue.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS — Members of the Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama and the Indonesian people in general are expected to continue to build tolerance and promote a moderate Islam by promoting dialogue. Diversity and differences are gifts and at the same time form the identity of the Indonesian people.
