Agus Bei and mangroves seemed inseparable. There are countless hectares of mangrove he has recovered in Balikpapan. There are several awards he has received. For him, however, growing mangroves is far more satisfying than the awards.
In early January, Agus received an award from the East Kalimantan provincial administration for the being an outstanding figure in the community, one of many awards he has received. Previously, he received the 2017 Kalpataru Award in the environmental pioneer category.
