JAKARTA, KOMPAS - Entering the peak of the rainy season, dengue fever continues to be transmitted in a number of areas and residents are being encouraged to be on the alert.

Entering the peak of the rainy season, preparations to negate the spread of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) need to be improved. At present a number of regions have declared an extraordinary situation or emergency status to counter the spread of dengue fever, which is transmitted by female Aedes mosquitoes.
