Indonesian wrestler M. Aliansyah celebrates winning 67 kg of Greek Roman style gold at the Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Center, Phnom Penh, on Sunday (14/5/2023).

Nobody expected that national wrestler Muhammad Aliansyah would be victorious at SEA Games Cambodia 2023. In his 67-kilogram Greco-Roman class, there was also Vietnamese wrestler Bui Manh Hung, who had defeated him at the previous SEA Games last year.

Moreover, 12 years had elapsed since he seized gold at this Southeast Asian sports event. The athlete from East Kalimantan is no longer young enough by the standard of wrestlers either. He will be 32 years old on next 26 September.
