Landmark Football Win for Revival

PHNOM PENH, KOMPAS — After last winning gold at the 1991 SEA Games, Indonesia has finally regained glory in football 32 years later. The final match, which took place at the Olympic National Stadium in Phnom Penh on Tuesday evening (16/5/2023), wrapped up the Indonesian U-22 team’s impressive performance throughout the competition since the group stage.
After the match, coach Indra Sjafri told Kompas that the victory should be a turning point for the revival of Indonesian football.
