Constant Giawa, Celebrating the Joyful Tunes of Nias

Constant had long wished to do something for his native land, so in 2017 he set up Suara Owo Nias studio. He wants to encourage young people to recognize, preserve, reinterpret and promote the art and culture of Nias.

The time has come for the entire archipelago to celebrate the art and culture of Nias, North Sumatra. This is what Constant Giawa, 52, longs for. Despite being visual impaired, this man invites the young and old to raise the prestige of Nias’ regional songs.
