70 Percent of Vehicles Yet to Return

Traffic policies were extended to curb congestion as travelers return. However, about 1.1 million vehicles will be returning to Greater Jakarta in the next five days.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS – As of Wednesday (26/4/2023) morning, it is projected as many as 1.1 million vehicles have yet to return to Greater Jakarta. Vehicle volume is expected to continuously increase over the next few days. The distribution of vehicles is key to prevent congestion.

Land transportation director general Hendro Sugiatno said as of Wednesday (26/4) at 6 a.m., a total of 1,114,483 vehicles, which is about 70 percent, had not returned through the four main tollgates of the projected total of 1,602,469 vehicles returning.
