Celebrating the Tradition to Protect the Sea

Biak Karon community members were dancing and singing the whole day at a big festival. Young and old people were teaming up to preserve their culture and protect their sea.

A traditional leader from the Biak Karon indigenous people walks on hot stones in the Apen Bayeren attraction in Werur Village, Bikar District, Tambrauw Regency, Southwest Papua, Friday (24/3/2023). This attraction has a philosophy as an offering from humans to God.
