A Thousand Ideas to Help Children of Terror convicts
Currently, Special Detachment 88 prioritizes a humanitarian approach to families left behind by terror convicts.
One day, a police officer with the rank of first inspector boldly entered the governor's office in a province in eastern Indonesia. It was not the first time. He had tried many times to meet with the regional head over the multitude of problems related to the children and wives of terror convicts.
The officer, assigned to the National Policeโs Special Anti-terrorism Detachment (Densus) 88, simply wanted to act as a liaison between the families of terror convicts and the local administration. He therefore hoped to meet with the governor to find solutions to the various issues. However, it was the governor's aide who met him, with a message: Don't make trouble for the governor when terror strikes.
