SURABAYA, KOMPAS β€” The Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) received the efforts made by the Non-Judicial Settlement Team of Human Rights Violations in the past with a note not to forcibly reopen old wounds. Nahdlatul Ulama assessed that compensation and assistance to those who fell victim were absolutely supported, whoever the victim.

This was revealed when the Non-Judicial Settlement Team of Past Human Rights Violations (PPHAM) had an audience with PBNU and NU ulema at the Miftachus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School, in Surabaya, East Java, on Tuesday (12/27/2022). The audience discussed the 1965-1966 events and conflicts between NU and the Indonesian Communist Party.
