One Election Stage Completed

Towards the end of 2022, one stage of the 2024 electoral process has been successfully completed, namely the verification and approval of the political parties participating in the election.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has approved 17 national political parties and 6 local political parties in Aceh, along with their registration numbers, as participants of the 2024 elections. This means that more political parties are taking part in the elections in 2024 compared to the 2019 elections, which saw the participation of 16 national political parties and 4 Acehnese political parties.

The registration of political parties occurred according to schedule and ran relatively smoothly, raising confidence that the 2024 elections would be held on time in a direct, public, free, safe, honest and fair manner.
