Three New Provinces Need Breakthrough

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin met with Acting Governor of Central Papua Ribka Haluk, Acting Governor of South Papua Apolo Safanpo, and Acting Governor of Papua Mountains Nikolaus Kondomo at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jalan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta, Monday (14/11/2022) .

JAKARTA, KOMPAS β€” The three acting governors in the three new autonomous regions in Papua will soon have administrative assistants to move around. The Home Ministry plans to immediately appoint regional secretaries in the three new provinces. However, apart from building the bureaucracy, the acting governors were reminded to make development breakthroughs and innovations so that the people could increasingly feel the presence of the state through public services.

On Friday (11/11/2022), Home Minister Tito Karnavian inaugurated three new autonomous regional governors (DOB) in Papua. Apolo Safanpo was sworn in as acting governor of South Papua, Ribka Haluk as acting governor of Central Papua, and Nikolaus Kondomo as acting governor of Papua Mountains. On Monday (14/11), the three acting governors met with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the Vice President's Palace, Jalan Merdeka Selatan in Jakarta.
