Doctors, Midwives Involved in Marketing Formula Milk
At the Dian Pertiwi Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA) in Karanganyar, Central Java, a nurse with the initials ST said that the hospital provided a prenatal package containing formula milk and infant supplies.
This pharmacy is managed by a midwife who opened a practice in Medan City, North Sumatra, on Sunday (4/9/2022). The midwife provides formula milk packages for mothers who have just given birth there.
A Kompas investigation has discovered that marketing programs for formula milk are employing illegal practices, with doctors, midwives and social media influencers actively involved in marketing formula milk for infants aged 0-6 months.
