The alarm regarding the behavior of public officials is sounding its warning signal. As many as 49.5 percent of respondents stated that public officials are not trustworthy. This is not acceptable.

The message is loud! This is an alarm that deserves to be heard. From a Kompas poll on Monday (1/8/2022), it was revealed that only 46.8 percent of respondents still positively view Indonesian public officials; the figure is lower than those who hold the opposite view. Additionally, the poll found that 65.9 percent of respondents believe that public officials are not good role models for the community, as opposed to just 31.7 percent who hold the opposing view that public officials are good role models. As many as 68.5 percent of respondents stated that public officials have not been able to maintain public trust. The survey was conducted on 19-21July 2022.
