JAKARTA, KOMPAS — The Indonesian National Police Chief, Gen. (Pol) Listyo Sigit Prabowo, on Monday 18/7/2022, officially temporarily decommissioned the head of the Profession and Security Division of the National Police, Insp. Gen. Ferdy Sambo, from his position. This decommission was carried out to maintain objectivity, transparency and accountability in the investigation and examination of the death of Brigadier J or Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat at Ferdy's official residence at the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.
"Therefore, we have decided that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo will be decommissioned. I handed over the position to the Deputy Chief of the National Police, Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono," said Listyo.
