The Indonesian general election is still two years away. However, the political fever has begun to emanate over the past year. This symptom is not unprecedented, nor is it universal. Where does this political fever originate from? How long will it be around? What are the benefits?

A political spirit is necessary for democracy, as long as it does not overflow to the extent that it triggers full-scale communal conflicts. For some people, the spirit of politics seems to be nothing more than the source of euphoria. It has nothing to do with democracy.
