Ningsi told the couple to be cautious in utilizing social media. The use of full names or addresses should be avoided. One should be more selective in uploading content due to its being vulnerable to predators’ perusal.

Ningsi Selan, 18, wants no other women to have the same bitter experiences as she in the history of her life. Therefore, she has invited her friends of the same age to join teenage integrated-healthcare centers (posyandu) and share their knowledge with residents for the prevention of teenage marriage. Now, most teenagers and parents in Ningsi’s village are beginning to understand the long-term dangers of early marriage.

The house of Ningsi in Enonapi village, Kie district, Southern Central Timor regency, was crowded with five of her peers and several parents on Monday at noon (30/5/2022). They were five of the 15 members of the Teenage Posyandu of Enonapi village.
