Since the 2017 DKI Jakarta regional election, citizens in this country have been divided. The polarization of citizens began in the 2014 election, was observed in the 2019 election and could continue in the 2024 election.

To stem divisions among the citizens, various efforts have been made, including President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s move to make his rival in the past two presidential elections, Prabowo Subianto, a member of the Cabinet. In fact, during a Cabinet reshuffle, at the end of 2020, Sandiaga S Uno, the vice-presidential candidate who accompanied Prabowo, was appointed as minister. However, relations among citizens are still not fully recovered, and cannot be really close again.
