JAKARTA, KOMPAS โ€” The process of organizing the Indonesian haj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in Hijriah 1443 has begun. A total of 355 haj officers have departed from Jakarta to the Holy Land in the last four days. They are tasked with ensuring the preparation of facilities to welcome the arrival of pilgrims from the country who are scheduled to fly to the Holy Land starting 4 June 2022.

A total of 325 officers were sent off by the Religious Affairs Ministryโ€™s Haj and Umrah Organization (PHU) Director General Hilman Latief at Pondok Gede Haj Dormitory in Jakarta on Wednesday (1/6/2022). They comprised 206 officers from the Religious Affairs Ministry and related agencies and 119 officers from the Health Ministry. In an earlier batch, 14 officers flew to Saudi Arabia on 29 May and another 16 on 31 May 2022.
