Teachers attend the closing ceremony of the 2017 Diversity Teacher School (SGK) at the Ministry of Education and Culture Building, Jakarta, Saturday (9/12/2017).

JAKARTA, KOMPAS β€” The results of the 2021 Education Assessment show that only 32 percent of Indonesian schools nurture diversity. Meanwhile, 59 percent of schools still need to strengthen their approach towards diversity and 9 percent need to improve their attitude towards diversity.

The climate of diversity at schools is an important aspect in supporting quality education. However, teachers and school staff are still weak in their approach towards diversity and in their implementation of the values of diversity in the classroom.
