Fair Punishment for Inhumane Acts
The actions of three Army soldiers who dumped two victims of a traffic accident into a river were unconscionable. This inhumane act deserves the appropriate punishment.

GARUT, KOMPAS — A traffic accident involving three members of the Indonesian Military (TNI), who then dumped the two victims into the river, was an extraordinary crime that tore away at the public’s sense of humanity. The victim's family hopes that there will be a fair legal process and that the perpetrators will be given a fair sentence.
The dream of Handi Hariasaputra, 17, to become a member of the TNI was swept away in the Serayu River in Central Java. The resident of Cijolang, Limbangan district, Garut, West Java, was killed along with his colleague, Salsabila, 14, after his motorcycle was hit by a car driven by Army personnel and he then drowned.
