The power plant building at the Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE), Gresik Regency, East Java, Friday (3/9/2021). JIIPE consists of 3,000 Ha which is divided into 1800 Ha Industrial Area, 400 Ha Deep Seaport, and 800 Ha Residential Area. A total of 17 investors have settled and operated in the area.
After being designated as the Gresik Special Economic Zone (SEZ), with its advantages and support directed towards its development, the Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) now has the opportunity to become part of the global supply chain.
The government designated JIIPE as the Gresik SEZ on 28 June 2021 through Government Regulation (PP) No. 71/2021. JIIPE is Indonesia’s first SEZ and is a combination of three different areas, namely industrial, port and housing. The area spans almost 3,000 hectares.
