Residents with disabilities, members of the Difa Elektra team, prepare their homemade trash cans designed to help people with disabilities at the Surakarta City Hall Pendapa in Surakarta, Central Java, Friday (10/9/2021). The results of the development of the trash can equipped with motion sensors were conveyed in the distribution of assistance from the Kompas Humanitarian Fund (DKK) for people with disabilities.

A limitation should not be a reason to turn off the spirit of working and sharing. In Surakarta, the creations and initiatives of people with disabilities have been beneficial to others. From simple things, they light the lamp of equality.

Dian Ruscahyanto (38) limped towards a pile of iron frames in one of the workshops of the Solo Techno Park in Surakarta, Central Java, Monday (27/9/2021). He wore two masks, protective eyewear and earmuffs. Sitting on a plastic chair, he took a grinder and began to sharpen the corners of the iron frame.
