Police Arrest Thieves of Peduli Lindungi Data

The police have arrested two people for illegally accessing the government-made Peduli Lindungi app to produce fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates and sell them. Two other people were arrested for buying the fake vaccination certificates.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS β€” The Jakarta Police arrested HH, 30, a staff member of Kapuk Muara subdistrict office, North Jakarta, for illegally accessing the Peduli Lindungi app to produce fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates. HH, who has access to this population data, cooperated with FH, 23, to sell the fake vaccination certificates to the public.
