Living side by side with all differences is a gift of privilege in Indonesia. However, recent social and political dynamics frequently hurts diversity and undermines the spirit of respect for differences.

The vulnerability of discriminatory attitudes was recorded in a Kompas Research and Development poll. The majority of respondents admitted that they had never been treated unfairly or experienced intolerant behavior, with 19.3 percent saying they had faced intolerance.
