Political Action Needed

In the latest Vulnerable Countries Index, the score for political variables, particularly state legitimacy and public services, has decreased.

Indonesia’s score on the Vulnerable Countries Index must be used as a basis to continuously improve and develop sectors that are lacking.

Kompas reported on Sunday and Monday (23-24 May 2021) that Indonesia’s score in the 2021 Vulnerable Countries Index (INR) is still improving. One of the factors improving the country’s score is the factor of social cohesion, in addition to economic and social factors. However, there has been a decline in political variables, especially regarding the legitimacy of state and public services.
