JAKARTA, KOMPAS β€” The anti-corruption movement in the country has suffered from two blows at almost the same time. On the one hand, the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced that a KPK employee stole evidence in the form of 1.9 kilograms of gold. On the other hand, the Supreme Court granted lawyer Lucas a request for judicial review in the case of obstructing an investigation by the KPK.

The dishonorable dismissal of IGA, a KPK employee who stole 1.9 kilograms of gold, was disclosed by the chairman of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the KPK, Tumpak H. Panggabean, Thursday (8/4/2021), in Jakarta. "The person concerned is a member of the task force assigned to store and manage evidence at the Directorate of Evidence Management and Execution at the KPK," Tumpak said.
