Bulog Needs Distribution Guarantee

The supply availability and price stabilization (KPSH) program is the largest (distribution) channel. Within a year, the free distribution for KPSH can reach 600,000 tons.

The State Logistics Agency’s (Bulog) efforts to absorb farmers\' crops considerably will not be optimal without guaranteed distribution. Its price-stabilizing function weakens along with declining absorption and distribution.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS — Rice absorption by Bulog is not yet fully reliable to save the farmgate price of unhulled rice during the first harvest in 2021. Uncertainty in distribution has blocked Bulog\'s steps to optimize its ability to absorb farmers\' rice or unhulled rice.
