High rainfall has triggered flooding in East Jakarta, Bekasi City and a number of other areas on the island of Java. Residents in the Jakarta area have been urged to remain alert over extreme rainfall until Saturday.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS β€” High rainfall that pounded the cities of Bekasi in West Java, and East Jakarta in Jakarta, from Thursday to Friday (18-19/2/2021) morning, triggered widespread flooding. In Bekasi, standing water increased from 25 points to 40 points.
