SEMARANG, KOMPAS — President Joko Widodo has requested that local interventions be applied to deal with the Covid-19 epidemic. The President also requested that each region carefully prepare measures for the new normal.
"[It’s] local intervention. So, quarantining or isolating a neighborhood unit [RTs], community unit [RWs], kampung is more effective than imposing a quarantine on cities or regencies. Thus, we should use this strategy and expect a decline in the Covid-19 reproduction number or effective reproduction rates," said President Jokowi while giving instructions to regents and mayors throughout Central Java through teleconferences from the Central Java governor\'s office complex in Semarang on Tuesday (30/6/2020).
