Residents shop online through the website www.brandlokal.online during the Local Brand Shopping Day event that is held online until April 27th. More than 1000 local brands joined this online shopping festival. This online event is an opportunity and a breath of fresh air for local brands amid slumping sales due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The economic effects of COVID-19 have hit local brands severely, which are mostly owned by small and medium businesses. Sales have dropped sharply, but business owners show no sign of giving up.

Local brands are currently being promoted to people who are still mostly working and studying at home in the middle of the pandemic. Online promotions have been held through Local Brand Shopping Day, which ran from Saturday (4/25/2020) to Monday (4/27).
