Workers, Central Govt Await Provincial Minimum Wage Announcements

A new minimum wage will be implemented in all provinces starting Jan. 1, 2019. There will be an 8.03 percent increase in this year’s minimum wage. In line with a Manpower Ministry circular, governors must announce their respective province’s minimum wage by Nov. 1.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS –  A new minimum wage will be implemented in all provinces starting Jan. 1, 2019. There will be an 8.03 percent increase in this year’s minimum wage. In line with a Manpower Ministry circular, governors must announce their respective province’s minimum wage by Nov. 1, 2018.

A number of provinces made announcements on Thursday (1/11/2018).
