Loans Agreed, Phase II to be Put on Auction

JAKARTA, KOMPAS — The Governments of Japan and Indonesia have agreed on loans for the construction of the second phase of the Jakarta MRT system. Construction auctions for a number of phase II contract packages can begin in 2019.
PT MRT Jakarta finance and administration director Tuhiyat explained at the Jakarta Legislative Council on Wednesday (24/10/2018) that the first phase of the MRT infrastructure project currently under construction covering the 16-kilometer north-south corridor of Lebak Bulus to the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle was scheduled to be operational in March 2019.
