JAKARTA, KOMPAS — Two presidential candidates in the 2019 presidential election, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Prabowo Subianto, will continue to maintain their friendship. In order to realize this, meetings between the two will continue.
A good relationship between the two also functions as an invitation to the political elite and the supporting community of each candidate pair in the 2019 presidential election to control themselves. "What is shown by the two of them is something very wise. The elite of the coalition parties, the successful teams and supporters are expected to also be able to get a hold of themselves, not to use foul language, not to speak at the top of their voices or issue hate speech," said the Gerindra Party’s central executive board chairman Ahmad Riza Patria in Jakarta on Thursday (30/8/2018).
