Indonesia shuttler Anthony Sinisuka Ginting falls to the court from a severe cramp in his team match against China badminton player Shi Yuqi on Wednesday (22/8/2018) during the 2018 Asian Games men\'s badminton team final at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Senayan, Jakarta. Shi defeated the injured Ginting 14-21, 23-21, 22-20.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS – After struggling through four games in five hours on Wednesday evening (22/8/2018) at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia’s shuttlers conceded their defeat to China, who displayed consistent strength and skill across all matches. After the Asian Games badminton men’s team finals, it is time for our shuttlers to shift their focus to winning gold medals in the singles and doubles events.

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo was among the spectators when shuttler Anthony Ginting and his teammates lost 1-3 to China. The Indonesia badminton men’s team won silver in and the women’s team took bronze. The host country’s women shuttlers were defeated on Tuesday by Japan, which went on to win the women’s team gold after defeating China 3-1.
