Polling station committee (PPS) officers check the voter list at the PPS secretariat of Pagelaran village, Ciomas district, Bogor regency, West Java, on Sunday (24/6/2018). The PPS officers are prepared to update their database to distribute voting invitations ahead of voting day in the regional election on Wednesday (27/6/2018).

The concurrent regional elections in 171 regions are now entering the cool-off period until the voting day on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. This is a test of local democracy.

We believe we can pass through the cool-off period, the voting day, the ballot counting and the announcement of the winner peacefully. With the quick count from several credible pollsters, the preliminary result of the regional elections could be known a few hours after the polling booth is closed as long as the ballot count is within the margin of error.
