Digital Village Launched
The digital village movement was initiated on Sunday (6/5/2018) in Kebumen, Central Java, in an effort to encourage the use of the internet to promote economic and tourist potentials in the regency.

Several young people from the Digital Village Kebumen Community 2020 use the internet to promote the products of local small and medium scale businesses in Tambakprogaten village, Klirong, Kebumen, Central Java on Sunday (6/5/2018). The community also teaches children how to write and read.
KEBUMEN, KOMPAS — The digital village movement was initiated on Sunday (6/5/2018) in Kebumen, Central Java, in an effort to encourage the use of the internet to promote economic and tourist potentials in the regency. However, uneven internet coverage remains a challenge.
"This movement aims first to enable the Kebumen people to use the internet. Second, people will learn ways and techniques to sell products on the internet, especially those from SMEs. Third, it encourages people to sell on the internet," said Wahyu Yoga Pratama, the creator of the Kebumen Digital Village Movement 2020.
