House of Representatives committee of inquiry into the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Agun Gunanjar Sudarsa hands over the inquiry report to House Speaker Bambang Soesatyo during a plenary meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday (14/2). The committee recommended the establishment of an independent supervisory agency.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS – The House of Representatives Special Inquiry Committee for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has said that the KPK should establish an independent supervisory body. With members comprising people from within the KPK and external experts, the body is said to be necessary to ensure checks and balances.

The creation of a supervisory body was one of the 10 recommendations the Special Inquiry Committee delivered in a House plenary session at the legislative complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (14/2/2018).
