JAKARTA, KOMPAS — The House of Representatives (DPR) has utilized the revision of Law No. 17/2014 on legislative institutions (MD3) to build its own immunity. A bad precedent for democracy has been set by the House, which effectively played a trick on the final and binding Constitutional Court (MK) ruling.
The House efforts can be found in articles 245 and 122 of Law No. 17/2014 on the amendment, which had been passed into law on Monday (12/2) by the House of Representatives at a plenary meeting.
