The Volcanology and Geological Hazards Mitigation Center said there had been a second phreatic eruption at 5:20 p.m. eastern Indonesia time that was followed by a plume of smoke and volcanic ash reaching a height of 3,000 meters.

KARANGASEM, KOMPAS β€” A lava dome has been forming in the crater of Mount Agung in Karangasem regency, Bali, since its magmatic eruption at the weekend, from 5:30 p.m. local time on Saturday (25/11) to 11 p.m. on Sunday (26/11). The column of volcanic ash reached a height of 3,000 meters on Sunday.

The Volcanology and Geological Hazards Mitigation Center (VGHMC) continues to monitor the situation, and says the magma has not emerged from the dome. Thus, Mount Agung’s status remains unchanged at Siaga (Watch).
