President Joko Widodo and South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in walk in the rain to plant an agarwood sapling (Aquilaria beccariana) on the grounds of the Bogor Palace on Thursday (9/11). The two heads of state cemented a strategic partnership during the Korean leader’s visit to Indonesia, the first stop on his first Asian tour.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS – In a bilateral meeting at the Bogor Palace on Thursday (9/11/2017), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and South Korean President Moon Jae-in agreed to establish a special strategic partnership, the implementation of which would accelerate industrialization in Indonesia.

In line with the agreement, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto and his South Korean counterpart Paik Un-gyu signed a memorandum of understanding on industrial cooperation between the two countries.
